The following table was created in Microsoft WORD.  You may copy and paste it into one of your documents (I'm not sure whether it will copy into another word processing format such as WordPerfect).  You may modify it as you like, or use it as is.  I've been using this particular table for the past 7 years and haven't seen need for a change.  It's simple, efficient, and effective.  You may sort the table by mail date (chronologically), by publisher, or by book title to quickly see where your manuscripts have been sent.  It also keeps track of how much you've spent for postage.

I always include an acknowledgment postcard (stamped and self-addressed) to be returned to me when the editor opens the package.  It tells me how long each editor takes with a particular manuscript.  It also lets me know that 2 months after the acknowledgement date, if I haven't received an answer, I need to send a follow-up letter.

I've filled in the first row with a sample submission.  This is a SAMPLE for example purposes ONLY.  Please delete when you have copied the table to your document.
